Hardware
Micromax Superfone Ninja 2 A56 is packed with 3.5inch HVGA display and 3MP rear camera which is fixed focus. Device is powered by 800MHz processor which is entitled to give superior graphics but that’s not the case. Overall graphics and performance of the device is just about average and I would call that false advertisement to attract more customers. 256MB RAM is quite low and most of the games and apps from play store won’t run on this device. Build quality of this smart-phone is rather good but won’t make it for more than one year. It comes with 2 extra back panels of bright yellow and raging red to personalize your phone. On the left side of the device lies volume rocker keys which are bit hard to press. On the backside of this smartphone is 3MP camera which as I said is fixed focus and speakers at the bottom end. Device features various connectivity options including 3G and WiFi. Sensors such as light sensor and G-sensor are there and performs very well.
Software
Micromax Superfone Ninja 2 A56 runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread which is now cliffhanging on edge. With the launch of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, It was expected to run on Android 4.0 but it is not the case. Considering 256MB RAM, we don’t think it will even get updated to Android 4.0 anytime in future. As expected, it is preloaded with voice assistant service called AISHA. With Aisha, one can initiate Google search, view stock markets details and make calls(list goes on). Aisha is not as powerful as Apple’s Siri but it surely helps you a lot in day to days stuffs. Some of the preloaded apps such as what’s App, MiBuddy, TOI and Facebook makes your social presence active.
Camera
This device features 3MP fixed focus camera with 4x zoom and no flash. Though night mode is there to enlightened your moments, it falls behind without actual flash. Video recording can be rated as average and don’t expect any big surprises in fps. Overall, it’s a good camera for this price tag but would have been better with flash support instead of just night mode.
Battery
1400mAh battery is powering device to give almost 4.5hours of talktime and 180 hours of standby time. These figures are average figures and would just work fine. Since, battery life has been major concern of Android, we couldn’t really blame Micromax if it doesn’t lasts for one day.
Conclusion
Looking at the price tag, it a great phone to go for if you can afford some cons.
We would recommend to add 2-3k extra in your budget and go for Samsung or HTC.
